Ian is the very Herald of Geekdom, a man with connections in the world of gaming, a veritable fixer of nerddom. He is something of a jack of all trades - Wolf Packer, Freelancer, webmaster to probably the single most useful gaming information source out there. Better than all of that, though, Ian is a genuinely nice guy; that is something of a rarity in this subculture, especially because in the online gaming community, nice guys often get subjected to idiots and trolls the like of which would make God flood the world again if he had a computer. It's too easy to become jaded and hateful in the face of such things, but Ian remains a good guy.
In conclusion, Ian = t3h r0XX0r. Don't fuck with him, or I will likely hunt you down and leave your corpse an unslightly mess, and your family will cry. And we don't want that.

First, I must ask any ladies present to retire into the fainting lounge. What I have to say about the Ethereal-Ant-Callow is, perhaps, not suitable for the ears of polite society. Yes, my dear girls, proceed outside and to the left… that’s correct, the first door past the Steam-Driven Paterfamilias, next to the anatomically correct plaster model of Foucault’s Moustache.
Now, then! We are alone, and I may express my truest depths of revulsion for the errant man-child you just mentioned. No, no! Speak not his name aloud, for I am a gentleman of somewhat nervous disposition. Call him Ego-Lad, or a similar mocking diminutive. That is more than he deserves.
How shall I describe to you the character of that base churl?
Imagine a man who would willingly serve as the catamite to an army of Imperial Levantines of Ancient Rome, in order to gain a few scraps of reflected martial glory in the histories of Seneca. Update that sad example of… well, I hesitate to say ‘humanity’… to our own glorious Age of Progress, and replace the carnal debasement of the camp-invert with that of intellectual profligate, who winnows his way into the trust of better men, only to snatch away fragments of genius, which he then claims as his own!
A perfect and contemporary example of this treachery would be his transparent efforts to obtain from me, by stealth or force, the secret location of the Tibetan Moon-Flower. This singular blossom, which grows only by the light of the eclipsed moon, thrives in one place only – the sodden basin of the Leng River, in the otherwise arid deserts of Mopar’thlug.
